About Saskatoon Restaurant
Edmund Woo was only four when he began to work alongside his mother and father in the family restaurant business. For over a decade, the restaurant was the first and only Chinese restaurant between Charlotte and Atlanta; his parents some of the first Asian-born couples to choose the Upstate as home.
After graduating from Clemson University with a B.S. in Finance and the University of Georgia with a Masters in Business, Edmund opened his first restaurant, a fast food Chinese restaurant in Haywood Mall in 1980.
This initial concept grew to a small restaurant company consisting of multiple restaurants including Italian, French and the Classic American Diner.
Saskatoon: Steaks Fish and Wild Game is the culmination of which has operated successfully for over 20 years. The Saskatoon Concept grew out of Edmund and his wife, Renee’s travels to the north and out west…like the Grand Canyon and the feeling that they were both transported not just geographically but through time.
So, from the northwestern corners of the country, we bring you fresh, cold-water salmon, clear river rainbow trout, wild game like elk, pheasant, and bear, plus interesting tastes like emu, portabella mushrooms, and other outdoor treats. Saskatoon is a steakhouse like no other in Greenville. Exploring the waters and the fields of the beautiful Northwest, Saskatoon offers you a dining experience rich in aromas, flavors, textures and tastes.
[2011 Best of the Upstate]Our Saskatoon dining lodge has re-created the look and feel of a northwest lodge, filled with beautiful pine wood ceiling beams, wall coverings, and furnishings. Our dining lodge has been known to give our customers a “warm, friendly escape from the hectic city life!” And each of our wild game trophies on the wall tells a story of remote mountain streams, fields and woods.
Moreover, the owners, Edmund and Renee Woo are always at the restaurant making sure that your experience, the food, the service is right, every time!
Come taste the unique Northwest outdoors http://www.saskatoonrestaurant.com/menu.html. Pull on your hiking boots and bush poplins or come dressed elegantly casual! Either way, you’ll hear the rainbow trout sizzlin’ in an iron skillet and smell the hickory wood coals, just like an open campfire. It’s calling you to Saskatoon.
People like things that are hard to find. There can be a sense of adventure, even romance, when it is found. Fine wines and a constantly updated menu of wild game and unusual presentation of steaks and chops will make you want to come back again and again.
The Lodge is available for private parties for lunch and Saskatoon features a full service bar seven days a week and it would be 8 days if there were 8 days in a week. Keep Saskatoon’s in mind for your next special event where you need a banquet room for a rehearsal dinner or bachelor party.
In 2011, Saskatoon also started preparing Take Home Diet Meals based on the Paleo Diet. Today, Saskatoon has help over a thousand of local clients lose weight and keep it off, serving over 2200 take home Paleo Diet Meals a week.
